Here’s an attempt at a blog that I’ve been meaning to write for years. So here I go…

I’m the kinda girl who doesn’t go to a restaurant without Yelping it, never follows a recipe without simplifying it, and rarely makes it through a meal without taking a picture of it. I’m also not scared off by weird, but rather it intrigued by it. I’m not afraid to ask the server a million questions if it means leading me to the “right” menu decision. I’m not your typical LA “I’m full after one bite” type girl. I eat. And I enjoy. I’m a foodie.

Hi, I’m Pamela. I’m a Cali girl (raised in the Bay Area, living in Los Angeles) whose other passions include traveling, my new husband, sale shopping and all things marketing. And the obvious — I. just. LOVE. food. Everything about it – love the effect it has on bringing people together, the transformation of ingredients, and the way it can entice all your senses. Also love the way food represents a culture, how you can get a taste of a place by one bite.

In this blog, I’ll share my dining experiences from amazing hole-in-the-walls to trendy hot-spots, as well as easy recipes that anyone can conquer. When I cook, I wing it. For a full-time working lady, the easier a dish is to make, the better.

Oh, and about that whole Anderson Cooper thing… I suppose you may have heard about tweet that left my innocent coconut flan caught up in a bitter Twitter battle. To keep this short, I get why thousands of people retweeted Mr. Cooper, his comment was pretty darn funny. But seriously – this is what got little ol’ me featured on The Today Show, The Huffington Post, Yahoo News, and on Anderson Live?!

I’ll leave it at that, and end with the words of Tom Colicchio on a recent episode of Top Chef, “make cornbread, not war.”

Hope you enjoy reading about my foodie adventures as I take on this world, one bite at a time!

Hi Pam, I am your mom’s friend. I am so proud of you to have called out on ACooper on his biased reporting. This is indeed your year. Why can’t a gorgeous girl like you be politically super smart and make a delicious coconut flan at the same time?
